Wisbech Castle is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The main garden area behind the house is a lawn amidst a mass of high trees and bushes which creates an atmosphere of peace and serenity.
Walkways flank both sides of the gardens. One of these is planned to be an Enchanted Walk as part of the Wisbech Castle Project. The Enchanted Walk will allow children and families to enjoy a secluded pathway featuring many delightful hidden surprises. It may or may not be true that mythical fae creatures of lore lurk there, but if it is true then surely the Faerie Den is a place to explore.
The rear of the garden could potentially become a Tourist Information Centre and Tea Room, while other activities for the very back of the garden are being considered.
The Gardens can and will be used for events and for public access wherever possible. They can also be hired for corporate and community use.
